Rosso Conero is named after the Monte Conero which towers over the city of Ancona. Piersanti is a winery that started in the 1950’s makes a full range of Marche wines.
Grape(s): 90% Montepulciano, 10% Sangiovese, Merlot and Shiraz/SyrahThe wine comes from vineyards a few miles inland from Ancona around the village of Candia-Portelungo
Marche wines, from the Adriatic coast, are now showing their full potential but still represent value for money. A full rich nose with bramble fruit. On the palate it has ripe plum touches with a firm dry finish.
