Boutique-y Spit Roasted Pineapple Gin
Popular in the 1920s, but long since forgotten, pineapple gin is back with a 21st century twist. Whole pineapples are roasted on a spit with Demerara sugar until a beautiful caramelisation occurs. The pineapple is then combined with some bold and bright gin.
The result? The height of decadence and avarice that needs to be tasted to be believed.
Authentic pineapple sweetness, with waves of sharp citrus and slightly earthy juniper. Sugar caramelising in a pan with a stick of cinnamon.
Mouthwatering tropical fruit right from the start. Hints of honey, orange blossom and oily juniper. A couple of enjoyably sour pineapple notes develop on the mid-palate - perhaps some Lilt, too...
Lightly charred sugar, cardamom and lasting fresh pineapple drenched in caramel notes.
The Gin Jamboree Team suggests it neat, over ice or with a splash of Franklin tonic water.
For a touch of decadence, add a splash of pineapple gin to a flute and top it with champagne.
